Richard holds a business degree from the University of Western Ontario, with an emphasis in business development and marketing. Upon graduating from Western, Richard went to work for Woodbine Entertainment Group, in the wagering operations division.
Managing a department with over 750 employees spread over multiple locations gave Richard a unique perspective on the inner workings of large corporate environments. He was the youngest person to hold the position of Manager, Wagering Operations in a large horseracing organization in North America, being promoted to the job at the age of 25.

Outside of Woodbine, Richard indulged his love of film/TV by working for Revolver Films, The Partners Film Company and launching his own firm: Fixion Films.
He created Fixion Films with 3 partners and they produced a number of documentary films over a three-year period before closing the company to pursue other interests.

Richard currently works as a talent agent, managing a roster of over 50 clients in film, television, theatre and commercials, as well as producing theatre in both Toronto and New York.
